WWDC - Apple Developer_20130429-095910The moment  tickets for Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference went on sale Thursday morning, app developers rushed to save their spot, selling out the show in a mere two minutes.

Apple gave developers only a day’s notice before putting the $1,600 tickets on sale, and despite the short notice, this year’s event sold out faster than any other year.

The conference usually sees around 5,000 attendees and is typically the event at which Apple reveals the latest versions of its products.

Rumor has it that at year’s event, taking place June 10-14 in San Francisco, Apple  will  offer attendees a sneak peak of  iOS 7 for its  mobile and computer operating systems.

KidsWire’s parent, Engage Digital, is hosting a Tech Career Expo directly across the street from WWDC (a 30 second walk) on June 12-13.
